I wanted to share with everyone how to make your own rainbow tail!
If you love this, you will also love the Rainbow Pony Hat and the matching legwarmers and fingerless gloves.
Keep watching for the next pieces of the costume!

Slip stitch into the piece you sat aside. You will be working around the two parts to make them one piece.
We will call the next round “Round 11” to take off from where we left off after the first piece.

You will want each color slightly shorter than the color before it.
Each one will repeat round 13 a different amount of times
RED – Repeat 15 more times.
ORANGE – Repeat 13 more times.
YELLOW – Repeat 12 more times. (Note- my yellow worked up way smaller than the other colors. So, I actually repeated it 2 more times to make up for it)
GREEN – Repeat 11 more times.
BLUE – Repeat 10 more times
PURPLE -Repeat 9 more tiems.
After doing your repeat rounds, we will continue to round “14”. Continuing to round 14 seemed the easiest way to write this since each color repeats to a different amount of rows.
Round 14: CH 1. HDC DEC. HDC into each of the next 21 stitches. Join to HDC DEC. (22)
Round 15: CH 1. HDC DEC. HDC into next 9 stitches. HDC DEC. HDC into next 9 stitches. Join to HDC DEC. (20)

Round 20: CH 1. HDC DEC. HDC into each of the next 5 stitches. HDC DEC. HDC into next 5 stitches. Join to first HDC DEC. (12)
Round 21: CH 1. HDC DEC 6 times. Join to first HDC DEC. (6)
Round 22-24: CH 1. HDC into each stitch around. Join to first HDC. (6)
Finish off leaving long tail. Start over with next color
Once you are finished with each color, layer them in order. Using your yarn needle and the purple yarn tail, weave the yarn though all layers/colors through rounds 22-24 to attach them together.
Take all of the other colored yarn ends and your hook. Slide your hook into the top of any stitch at the top of the tail. CH 11. Slip stitch into the top of another stitch at the top of your tail. Weave in each end into the matching color of the tail. This creates a button loop so you can attach it by having a button on the rest of your costume.
