Flowers for Momma

May 12, 2012 By Corina 4 Comments

Beautiful dahlias for Mothers Day!! For each stem I just used 3 pipe cleaners  and twisted one end into a loop to make my Magic circle. Once the middle of the flower was crocheted, I twisted the loop a little more to make it tighter and closed.

Supplies:

I used 4.75 MM hook and Red Heart  yarn
Pipe cleaners
Use a variety of yarn and hooks for different looks 🙂

Abbreviations:

CH – Chain
SC- Single crochet
HDC – Half double crochet
DC- Double Crochet
TRE- Treble crochet|
DTR – Double Treble crochet

(In back loop only) *CH 4, DTR in same stitch, CH 4, slip stitch in same stitch, slip stitch in next stitch. Repeat from * around for 10 pedals. Once you reach your first pedal slip stitch into the front loop.
