I have been trying to think of ways to use my scrap yarn up. If you are following me on Facebook you know that I am doing my best not to buy yarn until my stash is just about gone. I have been doing pretty good too! And thanks to this new pot holder pattern I have written, I can now get rid of all those small balls of cotton yarn.. and the outcome be beautiful! With this pot holder, since I used the puff stitch, I had no reason to double up.. the puff stitch is thick enough alone. Enjoy this free crochet pattern written by your very own Stitch11!

If you would like, you can double up the pot holder, but it is not a must, as you can see, the puff stitch comes out thick enough to keep your hands safe from the heat.
Edging: Starting at the two SC that were next to each other from the end of the last round (round 10) Attach yarn, CH 7, Slip stitch into the next stitch. Slip stitch around the entire edge of the pot holder. Finish off and weave in ends.
Love it! Linked to you this morning on Moogly: http://www.mooglyblog.com/crochet-potholders-and-hot-pads/ 😀 Thanks again Corina!
I have been crocheting on and off for 60 years and am now trying to be on again to use up scrap yarn. These puffy pot holders look like a good place to begin. But I do not know what a “Magic Circle” is. Would I have known it by another name?
