A couple months ago, BreeAnna showed me her Cabled Slouch pattern and I fell in LOVE! I knew I needed to make my daughter this new hat asap. A few days ago I took my daughter, Ella, to Walmart and let her pick out her favorite Caron Simply Soft yarn “Oceana” Isn't it beautiful? She has a love for yarn just like her momma 😉
I was surprised at how quick this pattern works up. I could probably work up 3 a day without a sweat. I will admit, this was my first time really making cables like this… and I got a little confused around round 6. But when I took my time and followed her photo tutorial I figured it out quickly! This pattern was a lot of fun for me to watch come together. Working from the bottom up was also a first time experience for me. I kept hearing myself call the pattern “genius” while working it up and even my husband compared it to my own patterns and said it was more “fabulous” than what I have designed <—- made me LOL!! I can easily give this pattern 5 golden stars. But I will have to give it a 3 out of 5 for difficulty just because it was a new experience for me and I had to take my time and pay attention to the directions. But, with the help of the photo's, I believe a crochet beginner could figure it out with a little patience.
