Learning how to decrease while crocheting is an important step for all of us to take while on our crochet journey. Decreasing is used when needing to change the shape of your piece. Instead of adding stitches, you are taking them away. Thanks you Moogly for making this great video tutorial!
No matter how long you try to avoid decreasing stitches, you will eventually need to know this. Do not let it scare you like I did me 🙂 Its very very easy!!!!
This stitch can be used for things from ear flaps to making balls. I had spent so much time avoiding this stitch… but I have grown to not mind it so much after all. Its not a hard stitch… just not what I consider to be fun or as nice and clean looking as some of the others stitches.

I use front or back loops only all the time when making hats and flowers. This simple technique is very helpful to know and understand how to do.

The puff stitch is a very fun stitch to do. I find myself constantly looking for projects to use this for. This is one of those stitches that looks hard but are VERY easy!
The Front and the Back Post Double Crochet looks harder than what it is. Once you get a couple stitches in its really simple and easy to continue.
