I think it would, but if it needs to be bigger, you could just add a row before the earflaps start.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for! A friend asked me for one for her 12 yr old for Christmas and yours is one of the nicest I have found. So I was going to attempt to modify the smaller one to be bigger! You saved me the hassle! Thanks! 😀

I can’t thank you enough for these patterns, and for making them free! I have a couple patterns I paid for and they were just not coming out right. This one came out perfect, I wish I would have stumbled across your page before purchasing all those patterns! Thank you again.

      Hi corina
Can you explain to me what you mean by “ attach yarn (counting from the seam of the hat) onto the 24th stitch? Do I crochet this or sew it so that I can get to the other side of the hat?
      Do you also have video?
      Thanks so much

hey maybe this is crazy but all my teenagers want this sock monkey hat. would it be to much to ask if you had an adult sized pattern. I wish I could just figure it out but alas i can barely do the ones I have patterns for. Btw my had infant sock monkey hat turned out so cute. Thank you so much for the pattern.

How would I make this to fit an adult?

I would most likely just add another row before starting the earflaps… and instead of doing the trim in SC, I would do it in HDC.

I love this pattern. It was very easy to follow. The only thing that I am having a problem with is the mouth. Mine is just not coming out right. Is there any tips or a video you can point me to on how to make it? But everything else was so easy. LOL Leave it to me to make something so easy more difficult. LOL Thanks for sharing this pattern as well as all of your patterns. 🙂

Yes you can. You may want to add another increase or a few more rounds at the bottom as well.

Halfway through this pattern I noticed it was turning out to be kind of big for a 4 year old…more of an adult size.

How could you make this for an adult? I made one for my daughter and my husband wants one to match.

I would just add one increase round to the beanie part 🙂

When using the CleanPrint feature, part of the pattern is eliminated, the ears, the mouth, and perhaps more. Thank you for the pattern! Will try an alternate method of printing.
