Crochet Mermaid Tail

Crochet Mermaid Tail

I will do my best to share with everyone how I made this mermaid blanket. I had planned on simply following MJ's Off The Hook Designs Mermaid Blanket – but I misread the yarn weight. :O I know, I know… I can hardly believe it myself. I used 2 strands of Worsted Weight instead of using the Bulky. I have no clue what I was thinking!!!
So instead, I based the blankets measurements from the pattern. I used a shell stitch instead of HDC.
Then when it came to the fin, I used the Mad Fruit Angel Wing Mermaid Fin. I did skip a few steps on the fin, because I felt it was turning out large enough. I LOVE this pattern!! Simply beautiful!

We have all seen the many mermaid tail photo's floating around our FB groups and walls.. my best advice to anyone who wants to make one is to pick through all your favorite designs, combine them, and make them unique with your own imagination. <3 Happy Hooking!
