I love spring! My Dahlias are sprouting out of the ground. They are my favorite flower to cut and keep inside the house. But since they are not flowering yet I decided to crochet one and share the pattern with all my friends. 🙂

I’ve just finished the hat, using Carob Simply Soft and Lion Brand Ice Cream with an H (5.00mm) hook. Enlarging by one stitch at beginning. I’ll post a picture on Facebook tomorrow.
On the flower, I hate to mention, but since I’m an English teacher and have a thing about spelling and word usage…. A pedal is on a bicycle. A petal is on a flower! Lol! Sorry. I couldn’t help myself.
I am going to use crochet thread. What is the gauge, since I would have to adjust the pattern. It”s the hat I am going to make in crochet thread.
