Within minutes after Whistle and Ivy posted her new baby sandal pattern, multiple people were sending me the link and sharing it onto my personal Facebook page. Everyone wanted to know if I could make them. I usually turn people away when it comes to shoes.. because for some reason I dread making things that go on feet.
This free pattern was different though.. it pulled me in the second I seen it. My favorite thing about these adorable sandals is that they are actually made in a way that would secure them onto an infants feet. They appear to be comfy and logical. I have yet to test them out.. but plan on meeting up with the baby tonight or tomorrow to try them on. I will be sure to get a photo and share more of my opinion then.
The baby crochet pattern is written in multiple sizes and is very simple to follow. Whistle and Ivy shares many photos to help you through the pattern steps. Â So, if you are in search of a perfect and free baby sandal pattern, this one should be at the top of your list!

I tried making these but I thought the top band was way too thick. I like the pattern from Two Girls Patterns. It’s a paid pattern and it has a lot more tails to sew but I like the overall look much better.
I’m also not associated with them, I just really like the pattern 🙂

A friend ask me to make these for her great-niece. I like the sole construction, however the straps did not come out the way the picture shows them and the video tutorial didn’t match up to the pattern. Had to rewrite the straps to achieve the same look.
made a pair of these in the 12 month size for my great grandson. They were easy and fun to make. But did not fit him. Too short. So I tried them on another great grandson (different family) who was only 9 months old. Too short. Recommend using a larger hook the next time. Thank you
