Little Big FLower

June 25, 2012 By Corina 2 Comments

When making hats for girls, I usually like to make very large flowers. But, when making a flower to go on an animal hat, the large flowers don't always work. So here is a free crochet pattern for a little big flower! Its small enough to put by a monkey ear without over powering the rest of the monkey details. And its still big and full enough to be flowerific!

Supplies:

I used 5 MM hook and Peaches and Creme Cotton
Use a variety of yarn and hooks for different looks 🙂

Abbreviations:

CH – Chain
SC- Single crochet
HDC – Half double crochet

Get started!!

Magic circle

Round 1: 10 HDC inside Magic circle , slip stitch into first HDC

change colors (connected to back loop only)

Round 2: CH 1, SC in each back loop around and connect to CH 1.

(In back loop only) *CH 2, HDC, CH 2 Slip stitch into same stitch, slip stitch into next stitch, Repeat from * around, move to front loop and repeat from * around again. Move to front loop of round 1 and repeat from * again, Finish off
