I love this! I have a friend that really wants me to make her one. Do you have a general suggestion how to do the red part best? Thanks!!

I actually just sat a baseball in front of me and did it by eye. As you do it, just go with it, it will come together. 🙂

Loooveee this hat!! I am new at making hats. Do you happen to know how I could make it a little bigger? I have a couple babies that I’d really like to make the baseball hat for, but they are definitely bigger than a newborn 🙂 Thanks!

Planning to make this for my new grandson–I have done alot of crocheting in the past, but could you please clarify the magic ring? Do you simply ch 3, join the first one to the 3rd one and work the double crochet stiches in that space? Thanks for your help and for sharing this!! Hope it turns out as cute as yours!

If you do not understand the magic ring, I would do a CH 3, join to the first CH and then crochet into that ring.

Also, since making this hat I have realized that with the Simply soft its a little snug. If I ever make this hat again, I would use a worsted weight, I love this yarn or red heart. Would love to see pics of your work when you are finished! 😀

Thanks for all the great patterns! When you join to the top of the chain are you slip stitching? Thanks!

Im sorry but I just used a yarn needle and stitched it on. That is one thing I did by eye and I am not sure how to make a tutorial for the stitching.

Like the hat and it’s simple.
But, if you make a tutorial please make it for the entire project. (Red lines)
