I am so happy with how beautiful these Granny Squares are turning out! I wanted to go ahead and share the crochet pattern with you even though I'm not sure what I will be making with these. When I figure it out I will be sure to post it. 🙂
Abbreviations:
CH – Chain
DC- Double Crochet
HDC – Half double crochet
TRE-Â Treble crochet
SC – Single crochet
Instructions:
CH 4, connect to form loop.
Slip stitch inside loop, 12 HDC inside of loop, join to first HDC
Slip stitch in between first two HDC, CH 3,DC in same space.
2 DC in next space*CH 1, 2 DC in next space, 2dc in next space* repeat from * around . CH 1 and join to top of CH 3
Change colors (connecting in a CH 1 space)
CH 3, 2 TRE, CH 3, slip stitch~all in CH 1 space~ Slip stitch in each stitch and slip stitch in next CH 1 space.. then repeat
Change colors. (connecting to top of 1st CH 3 of last round)
CH 1, SC in next 3 TRE, CH 3, *SC in next 4 TRE,CH 3 Repeat from * around. connect to CH 1
CH 2, HDC in next 2 SC, CH 2 and HDC in same stitch,HDC in next 7 stitches , *CH 2 and HDC in same stitch, HDC in next 7 HDC, Repeat from * around. connect to top of CH 2 and finish off

Hi I love your granny hexes….you said you weren’t sure what to make with them….and I saw a photo prop of a baby with a hat and a little blanket over it’s back…looked like a turtle…so this would make a beautiful turtle shell cover up….and if you made a matching beanie…a turtle set….i love all your patterns!!! Been making baby hats for my husbands soldiers newborns…..ty
