3-6 Month Yoda Hat

3-6 Month Yoda Crochet Hat

 

As most of you know, I do not sell very many items I create because I always want to make gifts for my family. Last week I decided to take a few custom orders. The first order was for this 3-6 month crochet Yoda hat. A friend of mine from Knot Your Nana's Crochet had already made a Yoda hat pattern but its for child size. So if you need a larger size, be sure to check hers out! Also available is my own Adult Size Yoda Hat Pattern!! Now get hookin'!!

 

Supplies:

5mm hook and 3.75 mm hook
Yarn Needle
Baby Bee – Hushabye Solid – Baby Sage yarn (4 Medium)

Abbreviations:
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
HDC 3 Together

CH 3 does not count as a double crochet

Crochet Yoda Beanie

Using 5 mm hook.

Using ONE strand of yarn.

Round 1: Magic Ring, CH 3, DC 10, pull ring tight, join to top CH of  CH 3
Round 2: CH 3, 2 dc each CH around. Join to top CH of CH 3. (20 DC)
Round 3: CH 3. *2 DC in next DC, DC in next DC, repeat from * around. Join to top CH of CH 3. (30 DC)
Round 4: CH 3. *2 DC in next DC, DC in next 2 DC, repeat from * around. Join to top CH of CH 3. (40 DC)
Round 5: CH 3. *2 dc in next DC, dc in next 7 DC, repeat from * around. Join to top CH of CH 3. (45 DC)
Round 6-8: CH 3, DC in each DC around. Join to top CH of CH 3.
Round 9-11: CH 2, HDC in each DC around. Join to top CH of CH 2.
Round 12-13: CH 1, SC in each HDC around. Join to CH 1. (45)

Finish off, weave in your ends

Crochet Yoda Ears

Using 3.75 mm hook.

Using TWO strands of yarn.

Row 1. CH 10, Skip 1 CH, HDC in next 9 CH. (9 HDC)
Row 2: Turn,CH 1, HDC across. (9 HDC)
Row 3: Turn, CH 1, HDC 2 Together, HDC into next 5 HDC. HDC 2 Together. (7 Stitches)
Row 4: Turn,CH 1, HDC across. (7 HDC)
Row 5: Turn, CH 1,  HDC 2 Together, HDC into next 3 HDC, HDC 2 Together. (5 Stitches)
Row 6:Turn,CH 1, HDC across. (5 HDC)
Row 7: Turn, CH 1, HDC 2 Together, HDC into next HDC, HDC 2 Together. (3 Stitches)
Row 8-9: Turn,CH 1, HDC across. (3 HDC)
Row 10: Turn, CH 1, HDC 3 Together, CH 1.
SC around the edge of the ear. With 3 SC into  each corner.
Repeat for 2 ears and weave in your ends with yarn needlle

When attaching the ears, I folded the of the top of the ear down around 2 stitches and the bottom of the ear up about 1 stitch.

    hi there, i love all your patterns but i dont understand how i can save the pattern so that i can copy them out later. i try to copy and paste them but nothing highlights in order to do that. when i go to clearprint there is no button for pdf so i can save it. can you help me out? thanks for any help.

      I currently do not have the copy and paste option because of various reasons. I thought the clear print option had pdf available also.. I didn’t realize it doesn’t. So sorry about your troubles! I will be looking into a fix.

    when you say in dc, what exactly do you mean by that?

      To Double Crochet into the top of the Double Crochet from the previous round. Basically, stitch in the next stitch 😀

    I am fairly new to crocheting, and usually have to watch video tutorials on youtube. This was the easiest pattern I have found (for anything) and I made this hat very easily. Thank you, you have a new fan! 🙂
