I discovered a baby blue bird in my back yard yesterday. I was able to walk right up to it and get a photo!ย When I shared the photo with you all on Facebook, the comments made me want to have a go at making some color combo pictures. ๐ It is so muchย fun that I immediately had to go out and take a couple more photos.
I enjoyed making these so much! Don't be surprised if you keep seeing these from me!
If you want to have a go with your own photo's, I used picmonkey to create these.
This cute little Blue Bird is what started the Nature Color Combo fun!
This beautiful Japanese Maple tree is on the edge of my neighbors yard. Over the last few years I have used this tree as a background for many of my free crochet pattern photos. ๐
When I went to take the photo of the Japanese Maple tree, I turned around to see these beautiful flowers in front of her house. We used to have some of these amazing plants but in pink and orange shades. I never did find out what they were called!
These are tree's in my favorite hiking spot. This is about an hour to 1.5 hour hike into the woods.. unless you are with young kids, then its a 3 hour hike. ๐ย When you reach this spot with your kids, you feel naturally energized and a sense of achievement!
While camping over this Memorial Weekend, my mother-in-law came to visit and hang out with us for a few. Judy pointed out a tree in our camp site that was so pretty and unique. Over the years its bark falls off- leaving a stunning and eye catching white tree! When looking the tree up and down and admiring it, it made me think of these color combo's so I knew I was going to have to add it! ๐ This photo is to remind you to “look up!”
About 7 of these little Five Lined Skinks were roaming our camp site. I would have been terrified but I know they are nice little creatures. We used to have one for a pet. We think it traveled from a different area because it was discovered in a local grocery, trying to escape the produce. It had a bright blue tail and was so amazing to watch. We kept him for a few years. Somehow we were able to put together a little home with dirt, sand, grass, clovers, and an area of water. We would catch and buy crickets for him. It really was a fun experience.
While camping we went adventuring. Just when I thought we were about to reach the river, we discovered this pond. We went in for a closer look but with a 3 year old… so as my motherly panic arouse we quickly got back onto the path towards the river. But of course,ย not before a photo!
Ive never noticed how many shades are in peonies until now!
To our surprise, our Chivesย have flowers! They are so pretty at sunset. My camera doesn't work very well while the sun is going down but I was able to catch the *almost* glowing colors from them!
And here is the color pallet I put together with the “How To Make Your Own Color Pallet” photo tutorial! Enjoy!
It’s stuff like this that makes me want to dye my own yarn! If I could create my own palette and have my yarn come out the way I want it to I would be in HEAVEN!!!! (The rest of my family may disown me though…) ๐
This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Awesome job with the photos and color matching. These would look so nice as pieces of wall art.
Could you tell me how you created your color swatches? I looked at picmonkey and couldn’t find anything remotely related. Thanks!
I may try to make a little tutorial! ๐ I will try to get one up by the end of the day tomorrow ๐
I love the idea of the nature palettes! By the way, the purple flowers are Columbine ๐ I have some in the same shade of purple.
Thank you!! They are so pretty!
They are columbine flowers (the ones you didn’t know what they are called). They are the state flower of Colorado (a slightly different variety). Aquilegia is the genus name.
Oh thank you!
I really enjoyed this post! Looking forwatrd to the tutorial. ๐
I LOVE these! They are beautiful and such a fantastic way of looking at the world! Please please make a whole awe inspiring bookful! That would be one reference/coffee table book I would love to have!
Thank you so much! <3
