Today I have been searching for the perfect crochet heart. I wanted to find something that would be a cute gift for young children and also work great as an applique on a crochet item.
After searching the web far and wide, I found 5 patterns that were so adorable, I had to try them all out. Each of these 5 free crochet heart patterns are unique from one another and all have good qualities– just some more than others 🙂
Love Hearts written by Planet June
I came across the Love Hearts with a basic photo search through Google. This free Crochet pattern is by far the best heart crochet pattern I have ever worked up. Each of the three available sizes are the perfect heart shape, have perfect points, and are exactly what I had in mind while doing my search.
Sweetie Puffs Tiny Heart written by The Crochet Lounge
I fell in love with this tiny little heart crochet pattern. I found the Sweetie Puffs Tiny Heart when searching the free crochet patterns on The Yarn Box. This is the first and only time I have ever seen a crochet heart that includes one of my favorite stitches, Puff Stitches. The Sweetie Puffs Tiny Heart truly is TINY! I think it would make an adorable addition to jewelry.
Tiny Crochet Heart Pattern written by Kundhi
Thank you Pinterest for never failing me when it comes to finding free crochet patterns! This crochet heart pattern is very simple. Its available in two sizes. The Tiny Crochet Heart Pattern is easy to follow, but I wish the humps were just a tad bit bigger and more defined.
Simple and Cute Heart written by Flower Girl Cottage
Another beautiful free crochet pattern I found through Pinterest. This Simple and Cute Heart crochet pattern is the easiest crochet heart pattern I have found. One thing I like is that not only is it easy, but its unique. The same thing that makes it unique is the same reason I kept looking for another pattern… There is no point at the bottom of the heart. Even though this is not the heart I was looking for, I would still love to come back to it another day and add it to the free crochet pattern, Penzy (highlighter and pen cozy for books), instead of using the flower.
Teeny Tiny Hearts written by Attic 24
I found the Teeny Tiny Hearts crochet pattern through a simple Google search. When I noticed “Attic 24” in the description, I had to take a look! Attic 24 is known for her beautiful and colorful photos. As much as I love this pattern, and the way the humps at the top of the heart come together, I cannot stand the crooked point at the bottom of the flower. But just because it drives me nuts, doesn't mean it isn't meant for you. This would be an adorable addition to anyone who likes to be different, have a unique style, and stand out from the rest.
