Toddler Granny Slouch Hat

Free toddler Slouch Crochet Pattern
While writing the Adult Granny Slouch Hat, my daughter was already telling me she wanted a pink and purple one next. Little did she know, I was already planning hers out in those very colors <3 This slouch hat pattern is written for toddlers, 1-3 years of age. Now available – Child Size Granny Slouch Hat

Supplies
Medium Weight yarn. I used Purple  Bernat “Cotton Candy Collection” and Pink Peaches and Creme Cotton – I chose two colors but you can choose how many colors you use.
Yarn Needle for weaving in your ends.
K- 6.50 MM Crochet Hook

Stitches
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet
DC – Double Crochet

Get Started! 

-CH 3 counts as a double crochet-
(if you choose not to change colors for each round, you will need to slip stitch into the next 2 stitches and then slip stitch into CH space.)
Round 1: Magic circle, CH 3, 2 DC, CH 2, **3 DC, CH 2. Repeat from ** one more time. Pull magic ring tight. Join to top CH of CH 3. (9 DC)
Round 2: Change colors. Attaching to CH space. {CH 3, 2 DC, CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2}<all in same CH space. {{3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC CH 2}} <in next 2 CH spaces. Join to top CH of CH 3.  (18 DC)
Round 3: Change colors. Attaching to CH space. {CH 3, 2 DC, CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2}<all in same CH space. {{3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC CH 2}} <in next 5 CH spaces. Join to top CH of CH 3.  (36 DC)
Round 4: Change colors. Attaching to CH space. CH 3, 2 DC into same space. CH 1. **3 DC into next CH space. CH 1. Repeat from ** around.Join to top of CH 3 (36 DC)
Round 5: Change colors. Attaching to CH space.  {CH 3, 2 DC, CH 1, 3 DC, CH 1}<all in same CH space.** 3 DC into next CH space, CH 1. Repeat from ** 4 more times. {3 DC, CH 1, 3 DC, CH 1} in next CH space. **** 3 DC into next CH space, CH 1. Repeat from **** 4 more times. Join to top of CH 3. (42 DC) it may look a little oblong after this round but will even out with the next few rows 🙂 
Round 6-10: Change colors. Attaching to CH space. CH 3, 2 DC into same space. CH 1. **3 DC into next CH space. CH 1. Repeat from ** around. Join to top of CH 3.(42 DC)
Round 11: Change Colors. Attaching to CH space. CH 3, 2 DC into same CH space. **3 DC into next CH space. Repeat from ** around. Join to top of CH 3. (42 DC)
Round 12: Change colors. Attaching to the top of a DC. CH 1, HDC into same stitch and each stitch around. Join to first HDC. (42 HDC)
Round 13- 15:  CH 1, HDC into same stitch and each stitch around. Join to first HDC. (42 HDC)
Round 16: CH 1, SC into same stitch and each stitch around. (42 SC)
Finish off and weave in your ends 🙂
