I have made many other washcloths. Each time, I try to improve them for my own liking.
First I had to learn about the importance of sizing (all purpose cleaning), hook size/holes in the washcloth, and the direction you stitch = the direction it stretches and stretches.
Although I love all of my washcloths from the past… I wanted to make one that is perfect for ME! One that stretches at all direction so it doesn't end up oblong. One that has the right texture for scrubbing syrup off the counters and also gentle enough for my family to use.
Let me know what you think of the free Stitch11 Square Crochet Washcloth pattern! 😀

Octopus Family- With Link To Free Crochet Pattern
Everyone is fascinated by these 8 legged under water creatures. They only take around 2 hours to crochet!
Around eight months ago I discovered this free pattern through ravelry. Squidoo.com wrote this pattern very simple. Make it once, and you will know it for life!
I also added a circle to the bottom of mine- so I could stuff them. I would make two small crochet circles and attach safety eyes onto them and then attach that to the octopus.
This is the ideal project when you need a break, some excitement, and some quick to sell projects. 4.5 gold stars from me!
Stitch11 Crock Pot Potato Soup
Mustache Mug Cozy
The Mustache Mug Cozy is a fun project to work up when needing to take a break from those many other WIP's you have been working on.
The free crochet Mug Cozy pattern (designed by Three Beans in a Pod) is perfect for custom orders and gifting. I chose to use this pattern because after testing out a few others, I realized how hard it was to get the fit just right. This pattern however, works up to fit all the coffee cups in my cabinet.
I also had a lot of fun testing out a few mustache crochet patterns. To be honest… this was the only one I found that was not only the perfect shape, but it is crocheted in one piece! The directions are written so well and simple- even the crochet beginner could work one up in no time. The perfect free Crochet Mustache Pattern is designed by Make and Takes. Be sure to bookmark this one!
For the cozy I used Berroco’s Boboli Lace (in color 4312 – dye lot 7131) and for the mustaches I used Hobby Lobby's “I Love This Yarn”.
Crocodile Stitch Flower – Designed by B.Hooked Crochet
My most loyal customer has been waiting patiently since October for me to make her daughter a new hat. Now that the holidays are over, I was finally able to hook one up!
Her daughter needed a warm hat to match her black coat.. after her and her husband browsed my work, they decided on a newsboy hat. One of the greatest things about this customer- she always gives me free range to get creative. I decided to throw some texture ribbing into the hat.
I told her I would either put her daughter initials or a flower onto the hat. I had my heart sat on initials but no matter how small I crochet the letters (yarn thread and tiny hook).. I just couldn't get them small enough to look appealing on the hat. I wanted them to be no more than 1.5 inches tall. But I know I can figure it out eventually with the free Moogly Alphabet patterns.Â
Since the letters didn't work out, or I should say, since I didn't yet have the patience to figure out the correct sizes for a toddler hat, I decided to make a beautiful flower.
I searched The Yarn Box and shared 3 flower patterns I have been wanting to try with the customer. Sure enough, she picked the most beautiful one of all.
The Crocodile Stitch Flower – Designed by B.Hooked Crochet was perfect for this hat. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. It worked up so beautifully with the Berroco’s Boboli Lace (in color 4312 – dye lot 7131) that I recently used for the 6-12 month leg warmers.

Extra Small Dog Sweater Crochet Pattern
Since the cold temperatures are on their way to Indiana, I thought it would be best to make my Avis a new sweater. I went to follow my old dog sweater pattern and was horrified from how poorly it was written. So last night I rewrote the pattern 🙂 Hoping this one will be a lot easier for everyone to follow.

6-12 Month Leg Warmers
The 6-12 month leg warmers are designed for my cousins baby Nora. I thought it was time to learn the crocodile stitch to add a beautiful touch to the bottom. I was shocked when I realized how easy the stitch was to catch on to!
This will probably be my last pattern for 2013… but we will see! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Why You Should Over Price!
The subject of pricing is very common in crochet forums and groups. “How much should I charge?” is the daily question, but the answers vary – from giving advice on the techniques of pricing, to searching etsy so you can follow the lead of someone else.

Child Size Pom Pom Beanie
I have been trying to come up with something unique, beautiful, and fun for my 3 nieces. Just as I was starting to panic, the idea of this texturized double pom pom beanie came to mind.
Since you will be using a mix of the front post double crochet and the crossover double crochet, this hat is really stretchy! Although it is designed just for children, it fits the sizes preschooler-teen! Â So if you have any doubt in your mind of what to make for someone you love, this hat is a quick, fun, and safe direction to go.

Crochet Beanie Patterns For Men
Each of these 5 hats were inspired by one of the patterns linked below. I say they are “inspired” because I changed each one to be custom and unique for each person I am gifting them to.
I have discovered a new way I like to edge my beanie's and that is with a Front Post Single Crochet. The FPSC makes the edge of the beanie thicker and stronger (while still leaving the stretch) right where the hat needs to feel the most secure.

3 Free Stitch11 Crochet Scarf Patterns
There are only 20 days left 'til Christmas. I have been crocheting like a mad woman! I have lots of ends to weave in, pictures to take, and posts to write, but until then… I wanted to put together a post with the 3 free Stitch11 scarves I have written so far. Each one of these are simply put together with basic stitches. You can turn the regular scarves into infinity or the infinity into a regular scarf. The best thing about crocheting scarves is that you can personalize each one for the person you are gifting it to. Have fun with your colors, yarns and even hook sizes to get the look just right for each person on your Christmas list.

Mini Bunny
The Mini Bunny is a surprise Christmas gift for my daughter. A few months ago she told me she wanted me to make her a small bunny. She held her hands together into a bowl shape and said “I just wanna hold it like this.” At that moment I knew I would be making her one for Christmas.
I wanted to make the bunny small enough so she would be able to care for it like a real baby rabbit. After a couple failed bunnies.. I finally created one that was perfect!
Be sure to pin, share, and save this free crochet pattern. If not for Christmas, this will be perfect for Easter!

Pavement Infinity Scarf – Christmas Gifts
I was browsing the beautiful free patterns on Fiber Flux. The Pavement Infinity Scarf caught my eye. The pattern is simple, well written, and easy to follow even while you are half asleep! The perfect pattern for the Christmas gift crunch time!
I didn't have enough bulky yarn so I used some Sensations Rainbow Boucle that I bought a few months ago at JoAnnes. I used the N- 9 mm crochet hook. I did adjust the width of the infinity scarf to a starting chain of 23. I also plan on making another one with the same starting chain amount as Fiber Flux used.
Be sure to stop in and visit Fiber Flux on her Blog, Facebook, Pinterest, and Ravelry!
Here are 4 more I have made since posting this. I am working on a neon ILTY pink one now too 🙂
Toddler Sassy Fabric Boot Cuffs
Since learning how to crochet I have always avoided specialty yarns. I'm not sure if it is intimidating to me or if it is because of the crazy amount of Sashay scarves I've seen during the last year.
This morning I found myself staring at Red Heart's Sashay, Lace, and Fabric Boutique yarns. While the first thought that went through my mind was “I am NOT making a scarf” it quickly turned into “I could do edging on a blanket. Make a diaper cover. Christmas bows. Leg warmers….. BOOT CUFFS!”
So here you go, Toddler Sassy Fabric Boot Cuffs! You could easily change the size by starting with more of fewer FSC. You can also use your favorite boot cuff pattern and follow my stitch directions for the last row. Yes, ONE row of Red Heart Sassy Fabric makes a beautiful fluffy frill that almost any little girl will love. This beautiful yarn works up so soft and light weight!

BobOmb! -with link to free pattern
A few days ago I discovered a free pattern for this little guy at The Yarn Box. It was almost like the computer started singing in opera while the screen was glowing brighter and brighter. My step son LOVES to play Mario Bro's! I plan on making him another item with the same theme… just haven't decided exactly what yet.
This free BobOmb pattern is designed and shared by WolfDreamer. Click HERE to view!
The pattern is perfect and VERY easy to follow! It worked up really quick too.
The only thing I did different was crocheting the eyes instead of using felt. To do that I made a magic circle and crocheted {SC, HDC, DC, HDC, SC, HDC, DC, HDC} all into the magic circle. Join to first SC and pull tight.
How would I rate this pattern? 5 gold stars!! I have no complaints at all! I could sit and adore this little BobOmb all day. 🙂
Matching Child Size Slouch and Fingerless Gloves
With Christmas sneaking up on me I am trying to crochet as much as possible. I have written a list of names, checked it twice… but everything I have made has yet to get a name tag. My current plan (open to change) is to make a lot of basic things and then to focus on more personalized items.
After crocheting the Child Size Slouch Hat, I knew I wanted to make matching fingerless gloves. The greatest thing about these fingerless gloves is that they pair up great with those stretchy small gloves you can get from just about anywhere. They will help protect your children from getting snow up their sleeves while they build their first snowman of the year.
Next on my to do list is to weave in some ends on an Adult Slouch Hat.
