Add Some Crochet Love With Embellishments

April 21, 2014 By stitch11 1 Comment

Free Crochet Embellishments

I wanted to bring a post together of all my l favorite Stitch11 embellishment crochet patterns. These free crochet patterns spark the creativity in me each and every time I look them over.

With the Sweetheart Love Flower, I would love to figure out a good way to put them together to make large crochet projects. I am very proud of this design!
The Water Lily would be great for frog, water, mermaid, nature, and many other themes.. Once I crocheted them… the ideas starting coming through quickly.
My Daisy– The name says it all. I love my daisy 🙂 It is the quickest ‘go to' flower pattern I have.
Dahlia‘s may actually be my favorite flower. I love the color varieties and the size of the blooms. I like to have many of them growing around my house so I can always have plenty to to cut for inside my home or to hand out to all my nieces.
Boutique Bow was inspired by Minnie Mouse… but many other cartoon characters wear identical bows to this one! I had been wanting to create the perfect bow for a long time… but was waiting for the details to work themselves out in my head…. I was so thrilled when I realized how easy they actually would be to crochet.

Crochet Water Lily Flower

April 17, 2014 By stitch11 3 Comments

This is one fun pattern! If you try it now, you'd see yourself crocheting multiples of this in different colors. It'll jazz up any of your other crocheted pieces like bags, sweaters, or even blankets when you add a few of these water lily flowers. See it for yourself and use our free pattern below, or get the ad-free printable PDF pattern here.

Crochet Water Lily Flower

Do you ever find yourself in a certain type of mood for a particular kind of crochet project? The other day, I realized I was in the mood to make flowers- only I didn't want to make just any flower. I wanted to crochet a flower pattern that I have never seen crocheted before.

The Water Lily crochet flower looks a lot like the Water Lotus, but when you really research you will see the difference between the two easily.  I decided on designing a Water Lily because the lilies grow in a variety of colors… allowing my color options to be endless.

It's fun to experiment with different stitch combinations to make new and interesting designs. Speaking of fun stitches, have you checked out the Ultimate Crochet Stitch Library yet? If not, check it out now, you won't be sorry!

Ready for Spring Beanie – Child Size Crochet Pattern

Ready For Spring Crochet Child Size Beanie - Free Pattern

With this beanie you will be starting from the bottom of the hat and crocheting up towards the crown. The band that goes around the bottom of the hat has a fantastic stretch that makes it so this hat has a PERFECT fit for 3 year old's- teens!
The warm ribbed band also helps your ears avoid the cold winds that can linger towards the end of winter and during the beginning of spring- keeping your ears warm and reducing the risk of ear infections and earaches.
While the weather is changing so quickly… the V stitches will help your head stay warm- but also helps it from getting too hot!
The beautiful rose pattern is one I found by Petals to Picots. The free pattern is simple, unique, and perfect for accessorizing a beanie!

Crocodile Stitch Flower – Designed by B.Hooked Crochet

January 10, 2014 By stitch11 2 Comments

Free flower crochet pattern linked.
My most loyal customer has been waiting patiently since October for me to make her daughter a new hat. Now that the holidays are over, I was finally able to hook one up!
Her daughter needed a warm hat to match her black coat.. after her and her husband browsed my work, they decided on a newsboy hat. One of the greatest things about this customer- she always gives me free range to get creative. I decided to throw some texture ribbing into the hat.
I told her I would either put her daughter initials or a flower onto the hat. I had my heart sat on initials but no matter how small I crochet the letters (yarn thread and tiny hook).. I just couldn't get them small enough to look appealing on the hat. I wanted them to be no more than 1.5 inches tall. But I know I can figure it out eventually with the free Moogly Alphabet patterns.
Since the letters didn't work out, or I should say, since I didn't yet have the patience to figure out the correct sizes for a toddler hat, I decided to make a beautiful flower.
I searched The Yarn Box and shared 3 flower patterns I have been wanting to try with the customer. Sure enough, she picked the most beautiful one of all.
The Crocodile Stitch Flower – Designed by B.Hooked Crochet was perfect for this hat. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. It worked up so beautifully with the Berroco’s Boboli Lace (in color 4312 – dye lot 7131) that I recently used for the 6-12 month leg warmers.

If you would like to try out this free crochet flower pattern click HERE <- 🙂 Thank you B.Hooked Crochet for sharing your beautiful work!

sweetheart-love-flowers

This free crochet pattern for Sweetheart Love Flowers, was a lot of fun for me to design. After testing out the heart crochet patterns the other day, I knew I wanted to come up with my own unique way of crocheting a heart. My daughter is in love with these flowers. She barely let me weave in my ends before snatching them up. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as we have. <3

Blossom Earflap

December 28, 2012 By stitch11 13 Comments

Loving Rose

The time has come for me to make myself a hat! This free crochet pattern is designed to fit teens and adults. I used two strands of Redheart Love to work this simple and quick earflap hat up. I wanted to use two strands so it would be thicker, squishy, and stretchy— and as a bonus, it made it a very quick project! I love my new hat!! Please excuse the poor quality photo. Last night I purchased a new camera and I am still learning how to use it.  Cameras have changed so much in the last 10 years.. leaving me feeling very outdated!

Crochet A Kitchen Gift Set

November 15, 2012 By stitch11 3 Comments

About a week ago my sister, Miranda, from Work At Home Adventures asked me to make her a Potholder and Washcloth set for her to give to some lucky person as a gift. (Yes, anyone who receives a handmade item as a gift is lucky!) My sister supplied the yarn and everything! She brought me one of those big rolls (on a cone) of Peaches and Creme Cotton Yarn from Walmart. I couldn't be any happier with how it turned out….. unless… maybe next time use “I Love this Cotton.” It's what the potholder pattern calls for,

I found this FREE Flower Potholder Pattern through Ravelry!

And you can get the FREE Washcloth Pattern here on Stitch11 🙂

How adorable would this newborn witch hat be as a photo prop or even as part of a little costume?? You could easily modify this for a baby boy by adding stars and making this a wizard hat. I designed this very hat for me to sell. I do not sell my items very often but who in their right minds could pass this up for their new baby girl? <3 Enjoy this YARNTASTIC free pattern!

Little Big FLower

June 25, 2012 By stitch11 2 Comments

When making hats for girls, I usually like to make very large flowers. But, when making a flower to go on an animal hat, the large flowers don't always work. So here is a free crochet pattern for a little big flower! Its small enough to put by a monkey ear without over powering the rest of the monkey details. And its still big and full enough to be flowerific!

April 10, 2012 By stitch11 2 Comments

Scrap Yarn Flowers

April 8, 2012 By stitch11 Leave a Comment

Here are the flowers I passed out for Easter. 😀 For each stem I just used 2 pipe cleaners  and twisted one end into a loop to make my Magic circle. Once the middle of the flower was crocheted, I twisted the loop a little more to make it tighter and closed.  My Daisy pattern works great with this.
