Puffy Scrap Yarn Pot Holder

October 27, 2012 By stitch11 2 Comments

I have been trying to think of ways to use my scrap yarn up. If you are following me on Facebook you know that I am doing my best not to buy yarn until my stash is just about gone. I have been doing pretty good too! And thanks to this new pot holder pattern I have written, I can now get rid of all those small balls of cotton yarn.. and the outcome be beautiful! With this pot holder, since I used the puff stitch, I had no reason to double up.. the puff stitch is thick enough alone. Enjoy this free crochet pattern written by your very own Stitch11!

October 25, 2012 By stitch11 9 Comments

Gobble Gobble!! A free crochet pattern for a toddler turkey hat can put a smile on any ones face!  I thought about how I would put this hat together for weeks and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I was thinking about making turkey legs with feet instead of the braids… but if you haven't noticed, I really like the braids. Haha! I hope you love this yarntastic pattern as much as I do!

Princess Hat with Braids and Crown

October 11, 2012 By stitch11 70 Comments

This Princess Crown with Braids crochet pattern is an adorable hat that fits right in with a princess costume. Perfect for costume parties, Halloween, or whenever your little one feels like wearing it. This crochet pattern is best suited for toddlers and is a hat with long braids attached to the sides or the head. #crochet #crochetlove #crochetlife #crochetaddict #crochetpattern #crochetinspiration #ilovecrochet #crochetgifts #crochet365 #addictedtocrochet #yarnaddict #yarnlove

For the last 6 months, I have been thinking about Halloween daily, trying to come up with the perfect crochet piece for my daughter.  A couple days ago my daughter, Ella, looked at me and pointed at herself while saying “princess.” As I agree “Yes honey, you are a princess.” It dawned on me… the only costume that would be ideal for her this Halloween would have to be a princess. Either that or a poopy diaper. 😉 So here, I share with you this free crochet pattern for a toddler size princess hat with braids and a crown!  Happy Hooking! Also check out the newborn size!

Toddler Shell Beanie

October 2, 2012 By stitch11 5 Comments

When thinking up this Toddler Shell Beanie pattern, I was planning on adding ear flaps, braids, and a flower. But I decided to leave it as a beanie because the shell stitch is so pretty on its own and with the way I changed colors, I didn't want it to be too busy. I may try this again sometime just using one or two colors.. and then adding the braids and flower.

Simple and Practical Dish Cloth Crochet Pattern

September 13, 2012 By stitch11 31 Comments

This Simple Crochet Dish Cloth is very easy to make and perfect for cleaning. You can even use it as a washcloth depending on your yarn choice. It's a great scrap buster. If you have a ton of scrap yarn, you can whip a bunch of these in no time. Stash them for future use or make them as practical gifts. #crochet #crochetlove #crochetlife #crochetaddict #crochetpattern #crochetinspiration #crochetgoodness #ilovecrochet #crochetgifts #crochet365 #addictedtocrochet #yarnaddict #yarnlove

I have been told many times by many people that I should start making washcloth sets. The thought of washing with a crocheted cotton washcloth did not sound very pleasant. Last week, the hubs and I took the kids to a nearby Canal Days where I  seen many stands selling handmade items. At one of the stands there were loads of crocheted and knitted washcloths. When I picked one up and felt the light way texture I knew instantly that I had to make some DISH CLOTHS. Why I did not think of dish rags instead of washcloths in the first place, I have no idea, but these babies are genius!!    Enjoy this FREE and simple dish cloth pattern!
