Blossom Earflap

December 28, 2012 By stitch11 13 Comments

Loving Rose

The time has come for me to make myself a hat! This free crochet pattern is designed to fit teens and adults. I used two strands of Redheart Love to work this simple and quick earflap hat up. I wanted to use two strands so it would be thicker, squishy, and stretchy— and as a bonus, it made it a very quick project! I love my new hat!! Please excuse the poor quality photo. Last night I purchased a new camera and I am still learning how to use it.  Cameras have changed so much in the last 10 years.. leaving me feeling very outdated!

Simple, Easy and Quick Arm Warmers

December 18, 2012 By stitch11 28 Comments

simple- quick- easy -arm warmers

My sister requested a set of arm warmers for Christmas. I started to follow 3 different patterns… but had small issues with all of them. I was hoping to get by without the need to design a crochet pattern until after the holidays but these arm warmers were calling out my name. And in order to have the second one match the first, I had to write it out!  These arm warmers are designed to do exactly what they are, keep your arms warm. These will come in handy when the clouds have dropped a blanket of snow onto your driveway and you have to shovel your way out.  They will also be handy if my sister ever decides to become a bag lady 😉

This free crochet pattern is simple, easy, and quick to work up! The words I try to live by when possible. Enjoy this free pattern! Happy hooking!

Free Crochet Sun Hat Patterns!

December 11, 2012 By stitch11 4 Comments

free sun hat crochet patterns

Shortly after learning how to crochet, I searched the web for a simple sun hat pattern. It didn't take long for me to realize I was going to have to pay for one or write one myself. The great thing about sun hats is that they are great all year long! Even in the winter, especially when on a long car ride on a sunny day.  One of the most annoying things for my daughter is driving into the sun while on a road trip. She is still too young to know to keep her sunglasses on.. so instead, we bring the crochet sun hat too!

Here is a list of the FREE crochet sun hat patterns I have written so far.

6-9 Month Sun Hat
9-18 Month Sun Hat
Toddler Sun Hat
Child Size Sun Hat

Neon Child Monkey Hat

December 3, 2012 By stitch11 5 Comments

While staring at my yarn trying to think of more Christmas present ideas… I came up with the neon color theme for my Child Size Sock Monkey Hat Pattern. But I didn't want to just do braids, not when I can make pom poms! So I combined the monkey pattern with my Curly Q pattern. And this is what I came up with. 😀 Enjoy this YARNTASTIC free crochet pattern made by me, Stitch11.

Curly Q ~ Earflap Hat

November 27, 2012 By stitch11 10 Comments

While on a long over due trip to Hobby Lobby to get my yarn fix, my sister pointed out a yarn to me that is called “Curly Q.” This yarn is extremely soft. It looks delicious!!! There was no way, in my right mind, that I could have ever passed up this yummy yarn. With Christmas coming up, I have lots of family members to be making gifts for. This hat will be sure to put a smile on someones face.  I hope you get a chance to work with this yarn too. And now you even have  a pattern to use it with! 😉 This YARNTASTIC free crochet pattern is written for the teen-adult size head. Its super stretchy yarn, so it will be sure to fit all shapes and sizes!

The EveryBeanie

November 25, 2012 By stitch11 17 Comments

When making this beanie I was wanting to design a hat that would be easy to throw on when going out to shovel the sidewalk or to sweep off the car after a snowy night.  I wanted this hat to be wearable by not only me, but also my husband and my step son.. the EveryBeanie. This hat has been tested and approved by my 10 year old son, Brennan, my husband, Chad, and myself 🙂 And believe it or not, the hat didn't look too bad folded up on my toddler either! The sizing is perfect for sizes tween through adult.

November 19, 2012 By stitch11 4 Comments

When posting the free pattern for the 6 month Owl Hat and Leg Warmers, I asked if anyone wanted a diaper cover pattern too. Crochet A Kitchen Gift Set

November 15, 2012 By stitch11 3 Comments

About a week ago my sister, Miranda, from Work At Home Adventures asked me to make her a Potholder and Washcloth set for her to give to some lucky person as a gift. (Yes, anyone who receives a handmade item as a gift is lucky!) My sister supplied the yarn and everything! She brought me one of those big rolls (on a cone) of Peaches and Creme Cotton Yarn from Walmart. I couldn't be any happier with how it turned out….. unless… maybe next time use “I Love this Cotton.” It's what the potholder pattern calls for,

I found this FREE Flower Potholder Pattern through Ravelry!

And you can get the FREE Washcloth Pattern here on Stitch11 🙂

All Purpose Washcloth

November 6, 2012 By stitch11 4 Comments

After creating the Simple Dish Cloth and the Shell of a Washcloth, I knew I would be making many more washcloths to give away during Christmas. Here are a few I made with the little bit of cotton yarn I have left. I will soon be going out to get more yarn! When making these All Purpose Washcloths I wanted to make sure that the size of the holes were not only perfect for in the bath and shower but also for the dishes and house cleaning.
