Toy Airplane for Avery

February 5, 2013 By stitch11 8 Comments

Free-Crochet-Pattern-Toy-Airplane

While crocheting the Turban for Miss Happy for my best online friend Andrea, I was wanting to come up with something to mail her son, Avery,  as a gift.  I know Avery loves cars and trucks and probably has every cool car and truck that is sold in stores and online. So I decided to make him this awesome little airplane! It didn't take long before my daughter started crying for an airplane also, so I made her a pink one too!  This is my first time crocheting Amigurumi and I must admit… I think I may start a new addiction! I never realized how fun and easy these would be to make! I hope you and Avery enjoy this free crochet pattern for a toy airplane as much as I and my daughter does.

Turban for Miss Happy

Turban-for-Miss-Happy

While I was designing my last free ear warmer crochet pattern, Forever Tiffani, a friend of mine requested I make her an ear warmer also. She liked the simple but unique style of the Forever Tiffani but wasn't too fond of the bulky knot at the top or the fact that she would have to fold the piece before putting it onto her head. So with her help, I present to you…… ***drum roll please***….. The Turban for Miss Happy!  Miss Happy is perfect for everyone! It's thick and warm but it's not bulky! It's so easy to make and it's stylish and unique! The person wearing the ear warmer will NOT need to fold the item at all to get this folded look— Making this my favorite free crochet turban ear warmer pattern EVER!

Sweet Ella Valentine

January 21, 2013 By stitch11 9 Comments

sweet-ella-valentine Free-Crochet-Pattern

Sweet Ella Valentine is a free crochet pattern designed for toddlers and children. This hat has been tested on a 2 year old and a 6 year old- fitting both of them perfectly.
While yarn shopping at Hobby Lobby last Friday, my daughter Ella snatched some fuzzy pink yarn off the shelf. She quickly threw it into the cart and yelled out “Ellas!”
After playing with the yarn I decided to go for a soft and furry pink hat. I ask Ella if she would rather me make her a hat with hearts or an Easter chick hat. I knew what her answer would be— I don't believe she knows what a “chick” is at the age of 2…. but she is always surprising me with all of her smarts. For the next hour all she would say to me was “hearts” while watching me finish her hat and weave in ends. As soon as the hat was complete, I grabbed my camera and she started striking poses for me. <3

Forever Tiffani

January 19, 2013 By stitch11 8 Comments

forever-tiffani

The Forever Tiffani crochet ear warmer pattern was inspired by my beautiful cousin Tiffani. A few days ago, Tiffani posted a picture on Facebook of a cute ear warmer she wanted me to make her. I quickly replied to her “This is knitted!”  😉  The ear warmer she had in mind was very unique and attractive- so I wanted to do my best to apply those qualities when designing this yarntastic free crochet pattern.

To make this ear warmer you will only need one skein of Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand. It is medium weight yarn. I used both ends of the skein at once to make it double stranded. If you have problems using both ends of a yarn skein– I would suggest using two skeins.  Happy hooking!

Also check out the “Turban for Miss Happy!” [Read more…]

This free crochet pattern for Sweetheart Love Flowers, was a lot of fun for me to design. After testing out the heart crochet patterns the other day, I knew I wanted to come up with my own unique way of crocheting a heart. My daughter is in love with these flowers. She barely let me weave in my ends before snatching them up. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as we have. <3

Loving Rose

The time has come for me to make myself a hat! This free crochet pattern is designed to fit teens and adults. I used two strands of Redheart Love to work this simple and quick earflap hat up. I wanted to use two strands so it would be thicker, squishy, and stretchy— and as a bonus, it made it a very quick project! I love my new hat!! Please excuse the poor quality photo. Last night I purchased a new camera and I am still learning how to use it.  Cameras have changed so much in the last 10 years.. leaving me feeling very outdated!

Simple, Easy and Quick Arm Warmers

December 18, 2012 By stitch11 28 Comments

simple- quick- easy -arm warmers

My sister requested a set of arm warmers for Christmas. I started to follow 3 different patterns… but had small issues with all of them. I was hoping to get by without the need to design a crochet pattern until after the holidays but these arm warmers were calling out my name. And in order to have the second one match the first, I had to write it out!  These arm warmers are designed to do exactly what they are, keep your arms warm. These will come in handy when the clouds have dropped a blanket of snow onto your driveway and you have to shovel your way out.  They will also be handy if my sister ever decides to become a bag lady 😉

This free crochet pattern is simple, easy, and quick to work up! The words I try to live by when possible. Enjoy this free pattern! Happy hooking!

Free Crochet Sun Hat Patterns!

December 11, 2012 By stitch11 4 Comments

free sun hat crochet patterns

Shortly after learning how to crochet, I searched the web for a simple sun hat pattern. It didn't take long for me to realize I was going to have to pay for one or write one myself. The great thing about sun hats is that they are great all year long! Even in the winter, especially when on a long car ride on a sunny day.  One of the most annoying things for my daughter is driving into the sun while on a road trip. She is still too young to know to keep her sunglasses on.. so instead, we bring the crochet sun hat too!

Here is a list of the FREE crochet sun hat patterns I have written so far.

6-9 Month Sun Hat
9-18 Month Sun Hat
Toddler Sun Hat
Child Size Sun Hat
Adult Sun Hat

And this is what I came up with. 😀 Enjoy this YARNTASTIC free crochet pattern made by me, Stitch11.

The EveryBeanie

November 25, 2012 By stitch11 17 Comments

When making this beanie I was wanting to design a hat that would be easy to throw on when going out to shovel the sidewalk or to sweep off the car after a snowy night.  I wanted this hat to be wearable by not only me, but also my husband and my step son.. the EveryBeanie. This hat has been tested and approved by my 10 year old son, Brennan, my husband, Chad, and myself 🙂 And believe it or not, the hat didn't look too bad folded up on my toddler either! The sizing is perfect for sizes tween through adult.
